Here's a photo of our stand in Aisle 7 of Craft World. This treasure trove of a store is located in Westgate Shopping Centre in Massey. It's open seven days a week for your shopping pleasure. What a great place to browse or entertain visitors as it stocks unique range of New Zealand made crafts from every price point. Hope to see you there!
This excellent product from Fresh Fields contains 100% selected, New Zealand apples that have been concentrated then aged to mellow the apple tartness. It contains no additives, preservatives, acidity regulators or added sugars. It is free of all colourings and flavours ANDit is high in naturally occurring apple polyphenols (antioxidants).
Watch apple syrup enliven every part of your day. Simply use a squirt or a drizzle of syrup to enhance porridge & pancakes for breakfast; smoothies & salad dressings for lunch; or roasts, vegetables & desserts for dinner. Also think of it as a cordial. Just a squirt into a tall glass, stir in water and add ice for a most refreshing summer drink.
Here are some squirts and drizzle ideas to get you started, but once you get the idea and taste the taste you have permission to experiment with your own squirts! You are only limited by your imagination. More apple syrup recipes and ideas are located in the recipe section
• Drizzle apple syrup on porridge instead of brown sugar. Not too much needed...remember it’s concentrated.
• Drizzle over pancakes, waffles, French toast. Maybe add a sliced banana as you warm the syrup for an extra fruit serving.
• Add apple syrup to a smoothie – a great means to ensure your children are getting their 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day. >

• Add a squirt of apple syrup to any salad dressing for a zingy change.
• Baked Beans: To one tin add 2 tablespoons apple syrup, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire, and a dash of Tabasco (hot) sauce. Heat and serve over toast. Poached egg on top?
• Caramelised Onions: Add a squirt of syrup as onions become clear for colour, flavour and sweetness.
• Roast Chicken: Mix ¼ cup apple syrup, 3 tablespoons whole grain mustard and one tablespoon Worcestershire. Separate skin from breast meat, force half of apple mixture between skin and meat and then rub rest over outside surfaces. Place sliced lemon in cavity if desired. Secure cavities. Wrap in baking paper or place in a roasting bag and cook to manufacturers directions. No need to baste.
• After cooking anything pork in a fry pan deglaze the pan with a drizzle of apple syrup and/or coat the finished meat with a light drizzle of apple syrup. Even works with lamb.
• Fish? Mix apple syrup, fresh lime juice and zest, and ½ tablespoon Bittersweet Dilly Dilly Dill Blend then coat fish fillet and pan fry.
• Remember apple syrup is an acid and can be used in marinades not only for lovely sweetness, but to tenderise as well.
• Have a healthy cocktail hour…Place crushed ice in a tall glass, add vodka, apple syrup and top with soda. Decorate with a sprig of mint.
Remember apple syrup has endless uses as it is a fruit acid as well as a fruit sugar (fructose).
What a surprising blend. Using the spices you can make hot drinks, cold drinks, alcoholic or non alcoholic quaffs. Create drinks for all times of day, for all ages, tastes and seasons. Use the spiced juices for sauces, marinades, poaching liquids, baking and deserts.
