Spiced Coffee Syrup and BBQ Sauce

Spiced Coffee Syrup   makes 1 1/2 cups

1 1/2 cups strong black coffee
1/3 cup caster sugar (important as it dissolves best)
1/2 tablespoon Bittersweet Mulling Spices
2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
   Combine coffee, sugar and Bittersweet mulling spices in a saucepan and heat gently until sugar is dissolved.  Simmer about 7 minutes, it will thicken slightly.  Add the liqueur, cool slightly and strain. Turns vanilla ice cream into a magical dessert.

Spiced Coffee BBQ Sauce
Take half of the above recipe and add an equal amount of tomato sauce.  Heat to serve.
